We feel a bit 'stagnant'. Gideon is doing quite well on the CPAP, but really still has too little energy to practice more on the lowflow. If he has been on the lowflow for an hour and a half to be able to drink at the breast, it gets quite heavy for him and he needs to refuel on the CPAP. Today we tried 2 feedings in a row at the breast, but it was too much. He had too much trouble breathing, so he soon went back on the CPAP.
He is fairly stable (the word here at the hospital), and we hope Gideon will soon get stronger to be able to cope with a little less support.

Dear brave mum and dad of Gideon,
How long the road you have to go! How heavy that sometimes the feeling of standing still weighs on you.
You asked a while ago to remind yourself of God's faithfulness, keep your gaze up....I'm sure you do, but still feel like helping you remember this :-0

Sweet people,
Just had a quick 'catch up'. Confess honestly that I haven't followed you for a while - that's how it goes. Brave, brave people.... Though I realise very well that bravery goes through valleys (perhaps valleys require more bravery than climbing mountains). I will be thinking of you in the coming days, I am sure. Shooting and other prayers are part of that, but also just thoughts, wishes, dreams, hopes for the year ahead. I wish all three of you the very, very best (also on behalf of Lineke). Dear M&N and Gideon,
Just a doodle from the 3 of us:)
We pray that you may start to give Gideon strength and energy to drink on his own. Understandably, it is sometimes hard to accept that the doctors/nurses say Gideon is stable.
we continue to pray that hopefully you can go home with Gideon soon. But also realise that it is a matter of time and patience. Hang in there!!! Together and with our Heavenly Father who is always with you.

Today, there were many impressions from church members.
1can I well remember a woman walking with a baby on a layer of ice and it cracked they sank further into the water together while the woman held the baby above her head and so ended up on the shore, God was there, everyone can fill it in for their own situation I think....must think of you...in prayer and thoughts with you love Marijke
