Gideon day 66

21.20u

Today we were all excited, we would get to put Gideon on the low-flow (for the first time) in the tummy-tub! Once Gideon was on the low-flow, we immediately noticed that he became very stuffy and gasped for breath. He became so stuffy and upset that we had to put him right back on the CPAP. Another one of those moments when Gideon was pale, upset and SO stuffy, this is really terrible to see.
Once on CPAP, he soon recovered, although he remained quite pale for a while.

This afternoon he no longer seemed bothered by it and we had him snuggled on our laps again. It's always a pleasure, that's how it should be - your son snuggled up on your arm. Now we are looking forward to the day when we can do this at any time of the day, at home... How wonderful that will be too!

Tonight we sleep at home again, trying to get a full night's sleep. The days remain so intense and we still haven't had time to process the past 9 weeks. And yet we have peace. We experience that God gives us His peace, His rest and His love. As a result, we lack nothing!

Dear cronies,
Just a few words...
a hug and we hope and pray that you have indeed been able to receive a lot/better energy again over the past few days.
Our thoughts remain with you.

Dear treasures,
It was lovely to see you there at the back of the hall again for a while. I understand that it was quite confrontational that five children were dedicated this very Sunday. Gideon should have been there too. I am so looking forward to the moment when you can proudly bring your son on stage to dedicate him to the Lord. My prayer is that in the midst of everything, you will be able to keep your eye undividedly on Jesus. Persevere! Do not give up! He, who started the good work in Gideon, will also complete it!
Love and a very big hug.

Dear M&N and Gideon,
Just another scribble from us...
Glad you were there for a moment in the service this morning.
We hope that it has given you new positive energy and, above all, strength. But wonderful that you were able to cuddle with your brave little man. We stay connected with you in our thoughts and prayers.
Sweet greetings and a hug from the 3 of us

Dear brave parents! I hope you are sleeping well in your own bed, and that this will do you good. So much is demanded of you in this situation, and it's not strange that you sometimes "get stuck". I think everyone admires you very much and hopes and prays with you that your brave little man will soon be able to experience normal family life together with you...! Big hug!

I wish you a very good night's sleep, that you may refuel a little bit. He is watching over you wherever you go. I pray you His peace and rest. Love
