20.30u It has been a good day. Not too many "strangers" in the room wanting all sorts of things from Gideon. This did leave room for a visit from a friend of Gideon's and her daddy. At 6am this morning, Gideon already told the night nurse that Sarah was coming and tonight he thanked the Lord God that it was so nice with Sarah. Just before sleeping, Gideon had his first bowel movement after the operation, which is super positive! So the connection to - and the intestines themselves are in the right place and functioning properly. Very special when you hear from the surgeon that they actually had every abdominal organ fixed, turned around and put it back. Nathanael had a quick bite to eat with a friend in Nijmegen and it did him good. Just relaxing outside the hospital. Now I am in the Ronald McDonald house and Nathanael is sleeping with Gideon for a night. That's how we're really holding up well, alternating "broken nights".We remain grateful for everything going so well! | 8.30pm It's been a good day. 11.00u I think it is Saturday already. The ward reception is closed and the corridors are a lot quieter. I thought it was Thursday...Just had a nice ride down the corridor with the wheelchair. You do notice that he tires quickly from sitting upright and getting out for a while, but how he enjoys it. And so do we. Today will be a little quieter with visits from doctors and doctors. Just a bit of a breather. | 11.00am I think it's Saturday already. The reception down the hall is closed and it's a lot quieter in the corridors. It will be quieter today what with visits from doctors and staff. Now we can take a breath and relax a little. |

Wow dear treasures! How wonderful to read all of them! We are super grateful for all the 'lovely' and also all the 'fun developments!' Lovely that Gideon also had 'normal' visits from friend Sarah and Nath. was able to 'chill' with a friend for a while! elsewhere. So important! How we wish you some relaxation, and sociability!

Ohhh how nice a day like today. What a treat that Gideon enjoyed Sarah's visit so much!!! He is making great progress. And it's nice not to have too many doctors and bells and whistles on your body. On to many more good days. God is good X
