Hospital day 6

After a reasonable night, Gideon's catheter was allowed out this morning. And last night the drip no longer worked but they decided they could take it out completely as it was no longer very necessary. What a freedom that gives right away. And how wonderful to be completely wireless again 🥳

Things went well today. Eating and drinking back on track. Some off and on visits of checks and consultations all day. And this afternoon we had an ultrasound to check one last time how things are going inside, but everything looked good. The bowel movements have also started up again by now, and if nothing else crazy happens tonight we can go home tomorrow. Finally 🤪 And we are all ready for that. Lovely sleeping in our own bed again and our own home, but especially being together again.

This adventure was something we couldn't really have, apart from the fact that it never really works out 😅 And that it has to hit Gideon again, who has had enough. But we're almost through and we're still standing 💪 Then this should be the last crazy thing that comes along. Now let's get some rest 😅
